Client Disclosure Brochure
(Prepared in accordance with the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct)

1. Purpose of Disclosure

This Disclosure Brochure (“Brochure”) is provided by Doan Financial Group, LLC (“DFG”) to all Clients to set forth the terms, standards, and conditions under which financial planning and advisory services shall be rendered. This Brochure is intended to ensure that Clients are fully informed of the fiduciary obligations, scope of services, compensation arrangements, and limitations associated with the engagement of DFG and its Advisors.

2. Standards of Professional Conduct

Advisors of DFG who hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification are bound by the CFP Board Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct. Accordingly, each Advisor shall:

  • Act with honesty, integrity, competence, and diligence.

  • At all times place the interests of the Client above their own (fiduciary duty).

  • Provide professional services with skill, care, prudence, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Disclose and manage, or avoid entirely, any material conflicts of interest.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Client information except as permitted by law or authorized in writing by the Client.

3. Scope of Engagement

The services to be provided shall be governed by the Scope of Engagement Agreement entered into between DFG and the Client. Such services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive financial planning

  • Retirement and income planning

  • Risk management and insurance analysis

  • Estate and legacy planning

  • Tax planning strategies (provided in consultation with the Client’s tax professional)

No service shall be deemed undertaken unless expressly identified in the Scope of Engagement Agreement executed by the parties.

4. Fiduciary Duty

DFG and its Advisors acknowledge and accept a fiduciary duty when providing financial advice. Such fiduciary duty requires that all recommendations and advice be made in good faith and in the Client’s best interest.

5. Compensation and Fees

Compensation for services rendered may consist of one or more of the following structures:

  1. Fee-based compensation – including fixed fees, hourly fees, or project-based fees.

  2. Commission-based compensation – compensation may be received in connection with the Client’s purchase of certain financial products. Such commissions are paid directly by the issuing insurance carrier and are not charged separately to the Client.

  3. Combination of fees and commissions – as appropriate to the Client’s needs and agreed upon in advance.

All fees and compensation arrangements shall be disclosed in writing prior to the commencement of services.

6. Conflicts of Interest

DFG shall disclose in writing all material conflicts of interest. In the event that a conflict arises, DFG shall take all reasonable steps to mitigate or eliminate such conflict in a manner consistent with its fiduciary duty to the Client.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

All Client information shall be maintained in strict confidence and shall not be disclosed to any third party except:

  • As necessary to provide agreed-upon services,

  • As required by applicable law or regulation, or

  • As expressly authorized in writing by the Client.

8. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding financial circumstances, goals, and objectives.

  • Promptly inform DFG of any material changes in financial status or objectives.

  • Review all documentation, disclosures, and recommendations.

  • Retain sole and final authority over all financial decisions and implementation of recommendations.

9. Disciplinary History and Credentials

All CFP® professionals at DFG are in good standing with the CFP Board. Information regarding an Advisor’s credentials or disciplinary history, if any, may be obtained directly from the CFP Board at www.cfp.net.

11. Entire Agreement

This Brochure, together with the Scope of Engagement Agreement and any related written disclosures, constitutes the entire agreement between the Client and DFG with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes any prior oral or written understandings.
